UPDATE: NEW PICS CLICK HERE I'm selling a wrecked BMW M235i. It has damage to front end, primarily on left side of the front end. I no longer plan to work on wrecked vehicles therefore, it is my preference to sell it. The vehicle starts and runs, although with no radiator attached I would recommend not driving it as is:) Tranny shifts back and forth just fine. Front wheel is bent and is rubbing against caliper... to take the car off the trailer (without scraping the caliper) I tried to hit the bump on the the wheel with a hammer but unfortunately the wheel cracked when I hit it. Calipers are huge on this car so there is very little clearance to the wheel. As it can be seen on the photos, the damage is mainly on front left side (area highlighted in red is primarily where it absorbed the impact). The rail will need to be pulled and the crossmember ear to which control arm attaches is bent. Strut and wheel well appear be good. (FYI, this car does have the fancy adaptive dampers). Keep in mind many parts (like crossmember) on this car are interchangeable between (3 series variants) F30, F31, F34, F35 and even some variants of the older 1 series. If I was fixing this car I'd replace crossmember and pull the left rail. I wouldn't touch the right rail as I am not seeing anything wrong with it. The drivers side door window has been busted due to airbag deployment so it will need to be replaced. FYI, I have a small pile of damaged parts from this vehicle as seen on photo. I will try to upload more pics on my pics server and will try to link to them as ebay limits me to only 24 pics. I apologize for the crappy photos... it was getting dark outside so I was forced to take close ups in my small garage. Anyways, this car is a very nice car and it reminds me of the M3... amazing seats, seating position, ergonomics are all first rate and give a genuine sports car feel to this car. Exhaust note is fabulous! Aside from the front end damage the car is in nice shape. I was only able to find one ding on trunk. Otherwise, it seems to have been maintained really well. I strongly encourage anyone interested in this car to feel free to stop by. I am currently working at VW and typically available after 5pm anyday. I am usually pretty flexible on weekends as well.
