1998 BMW E38 740iL. This BMW is dark blue. Now before I get into everything that is in the car lets talk what’s wrong with the car. It needs a motor. The car was on the highway and without any warning, previous issues or noise the motor instantly stopped. No bang, no nothing, just stopped running. The car was taken to the shop and it turned out the timing chain decided to break. As far as what damaged it did is unknown, I just know that it needs another motor. This car has around 125,000 miles on it. The car has excellent service history. Recently it has new valve cover gaskets, new plugs, new factory battery, new thermostat, new clutch fan, new power steering lines. This car also has a complete new suspension installed using top of the line Ferrodo parts. Upper and lower control and thrust arms, steering arm, tie rods, actually everything. This car also has ceramic, drilled, slotted and vented front and rear disc brakes. I also installed new factory OEM ABS front and rear brake sensors at $165.00 each. The transmission shifts as smooth as the day it was new. The car drove like the day it was new until it broke. I also installed a DYNAVIN deck. 7” touch screen, Bluetooth, back up camera GPS. Please go to DYNAVIN.com and look at the N6-E39A deck. It sells for $1,049.00 This deck is very nice and works perfect. The interior of the car is also in good condition. Everything works except the rear passenger side window could use a new regulator. The sun/moon roof works perfect. The privacy blinds are all mint including the quarter windows and the rear window blind goes up and down smoothly. The car also has an M series factory steering wheel. I recently installed rear factory mud flaps. The tires are Goodyear Run Flats with lots of tread left. I recently moved to New Hampshire and the car just went through the NH state inspection and passed with flying colors. The car has been in California and Arizona its entire life until last year. Zero rust. The roof of the car just behind the sunroof has some clear coat fading, this should rub out. Other than a few typical very small door dinks the only thing wrong with the body is a very hard to see in the rear quarter panel behind the driver side rear wheel is a crease or long scratch. Once again it’s hard to see and difficult to see in the picture but its there. Overall this BMW is in good condition. With a new motor this would make a great car. Or if you need some great parts this would make one heck of a great parts car. Personally I don’t have the time to deal with it. So I must sell it.
