The pictures truly speak for themselves. I have owned many ‘vintage’ BMWs, but have never seen one in this condition. It’s simply beautiful. There is ZERO rust on this car… ZERO. Paint is near perfect. The interior looks and smells new. Dash is perfect, clock works, antennae mast works, all electric systems work (windows, central locking, sunroof, lights, etc.). All leather, trim, and rubber is still soft and pliable. The engine bay and chassis are in as remarkable condition as well… Although this e23 is in unbelievable condition, it is still a used car that is 36 years old. There are some extremely minor imperfections in the paint, and a small gash in the rear bumper trim. Also the tuner knob on the original Blaupunkt stereo is missing. It starts, runs, and drives as you would expect a luxury BMW with 43k miles to. However, I have noticed that the brake calipers seem a little ‘sticky’, probably from being in storage. For a more thorough description, I’d be happy to talk about the car via phone… but only for truly serious buyers (847-644-3747). I am not a dealer.
