This is a much better choice than leather, in my opinion (easier to clean/ won't dry out/ softer) You cannot tell that it is not leather!Dash is perfectAll electronics work perfectly: seats, radio (6-CD with unit in trunk), windows, door locks; remote locking, sunroof.AC/heat/ventilation work perfectlyBlack/red coco matsTrunk factory rubber liner.FULL tool kit in trunk- no missing tools and everything is excellent. (wheels are similar to the factory BBS style 5s that come on the sport package car)Interior: Gray leather/ leatherette front seats, in excellent condition!I changed the front control arms, and all the suspension bushings, and added h&R lowering springs (1.2" mild drop) with Bilstein HD shocks. The car rides and handles beautifly. I have a Porsche Cayman and this sedan is very close in handling, believe it or not. It does not use ANY oil! I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30 every 5000 miles.When something needed repair, I did it. There are no mechanical issues whatsoever. This is not some worn out car that needs $5000 of work. It would be an inexpensive luxury/performance car for someone. The E39 is regarded as one of the all-time best BMWs: one of the last with a full size spare, a toolkit, and a dipstick. I will not accept lowball offers. This is not that car.

At the back of the car you'll find 540i badging and another blue and white BMW logo above the rear bumper. The 5-series engine lineup for 2002 included two variants of an inline-six cylinder. For those that needed more power under their right foot, the top of the line 5-series meant the inclusion of a 290hp 4.4L DOHC V8 32v. Pop the hood and you'll see the engine bay that has been stuffed with the BMW V8. The engine might only be just over 268 cubic inches, but thanks in part to the BMW valve covers and intake cover it has the appearance of a big block that has been slammed in the engine bay. The 540i is capable of a 0-60 time of 6.2 seconds and could achieve a top speed of 155mph. As with most BMW's, the underside of the vehicle is just as impressive as the rest of the car. The 540i features front and rear independent suspension and bolted to the 4.4L is the original 5-speed automatic Steptronic transmission that allows for automatic or manually selected gear changes. Stopping power comes courtesy of 4-wheel ventilated ABS disc brakes that are equipped with electronic brake assistance. The sport package also meant the inclusion of staggered 17x8 front and 17x9 rear alloy 5-spoke BMW rims that have been wrapped in Sumitomo tread. Sure BMW's feature power, but their luxurious interior is what keeps people coming back for more. This 540i features a black leather interior that shows little to no signs of wear. The interior is accented by a genuine wood grain trim that can be seen throughout the car. In front of the driver is a 3 spoke, M sport leather steering wheel, and beyond that a standard instrument cluster. Both front seats have multi-adjustable power seats that allow for the passengers to find the ideal comfort setting, and not to mention separate climate controls.
