I am no stranger to buying and selling high-performance cars. You are not buying a brand new car, but a 12 year-old, pre-owned car from a BMWCCA Member. Minor rock chips on front bumper is expected for a car of this age. The car runs and drives just fine, it has a few lights on the dash board, this is known as abs, dsc, brake light "trifecta" on the forums, please look this up. It is no more than a $25 abs speed speed sensor that needs to be replaced, the lights never bothered me so I did not replace it. The car has been parked outside it has some tree sap, it would look great with a buff, wax and clay bay treatment. The interior wood trim has wear from use and some cosmetic scratches. The car has some door dings, which can be removed by PDR technique. Overall the exterior I would rate a 7.0/10, and the Interior I would put at an 8/10. The Interior does not have any bolster wear, but the seams of the bolsters do have wear where they attach to the seat. All the recent service the car just had, makes the car an excellent daily driver and commuter. Please keep your expectations in check. The carfax is detailed and clean and supports that the car spent its entire life on the Chicago's prestigious Northshore. There is no rust anywhere to be see on the body. The car is straight as an arrow and looks fantastic. Normal rock chips are present as you can see on both the hood and fenders. Our inspections shows NO SIGNS of this car being on a racetrack, in fact it would appear that it spent most of its time on Interstate 94. The front bumper was professionally refinished to fix some light rock chips and looks like new. The wheels are free of curb rash and all glass and trim look very nice. The front Bridgestone Potenzas show good tread life (50%) and the rears show great tread life (75%). Tread wear appears nice and even. The car tracks nice and straight and runs perfectly. There are no codes and the service engine light is not illuminated, as you would hope and should expect. The interior is SMOKE FREE and smells good. It shows normal wear and tear as you can see in the pictures, but overall is very consistent with the low mileage. We note some paint cracking on the interior door panel trim etc. All gauges and features work as they should. The trunk has the air pump, tool kit, and all books. Mechanically the car is equally as excellent. It starts up quietly and has a smooth idle. It revs and comes back to idle nice and quick. Shifting through the 6 spd manual gearbox is crisp and easy. The clutch shows no signs of slippage and has a nice pedal. The car drives and accelerates straight and holds nice and straight under braking. The brakes show good life on them and we do not detect any squeaking from them. All suspension parts appear in good condition, further supporting the religious servicing of the car over its life. We do not detect any clunks or rattles while driving. Overall this M3 is in great shape and unmolested. We are here to answer any questions that you may have.
