If you are looking at this listing, it probably means that you already know all about BMW's 335xi with E92 chassis and N54 engine. In case not, do a Wikipedia search on BMW "N54" and "E92". The photos I've included will hopefully tell you all you need to know about the car but in the spirit of being a good salesman let me tell you about my favorite things. In the spirit of being a good engineer and honest person let me also tell you about my non-favorite things. My favorite things:1. The car is gorgeous. The E92 coupe, in my opinion, is the best looking car that BMW has ever made. I've owned ~8 BMW's.2. The M-Sport package is great: sporty steering wheel, VERY deeply-bolstered seats, nice body accents, and 19" sport wheels/tires.3. The steering is exceptional. I drive on predominantly twisty roads and the turn-in is really really good.4. It's all-wheel drive. I live on a mountain and this is a must for the few days a year we get snow. In the rain I can drive at full speed.5. I'm a turbocharger engineer and this is a turbocharged engine. It's good enough for me to call "good" and that's saying a lot.6. More on that topic: the throttle response is great. No lag. Again, I'm a turbo geek so you should take that as professional opinion.7. I installed sport springs from H&R because the car needed lowering. The AWD car's ride height is higher than RWD. These springs fixed that; great stance.8. There are some small details that make a difference for daily use: hardwired radar detector. Super phone holder. Nice cup holders. Great seating position. Neat little robotic arms that hand the seat belts to you when you get in.9. The heater warms up at an incredible rate. I don't know how they do this but it makes a big difference in the winter.10. The headlights are really great. HID (bi-xenon) and they pivot as you drive. They look really great too with the LED accents and halo. The previous owner upgraded them and I'm glad he did. Money well spent but not cheap at all.11. Ok, it's an automatic but discard your misconceptions. For some people this might be a turnoff, including me when I was about 5 years younger. Let me tell you, this automatic is great. I re-flashed the transmission controller with the tune they use in the Alpina B3. This does a few cool things. It makes the "D" mode super-low shifting for great economy. Gas is cheap now so I don't use this. For the "S" mode, it makes the shift points higher and shifts very fast. But here's how I drive: you put it in "S" and then blip the paddles manually. The instrument cluster stays in "M" (manual) mode without ever leaving until the next key-off. The shifting is REALLY fast; on par with my dual-clutch-equipped Audi. It blips the throttle on downshifts. It's just bad-ass in this mode; period. Like a dual-clutch, it will downshift by itself when you come to a stop. Otherwise, it's full-manual. Having the Alpina tune, I have no idea why anyone would buy a manual transmission instead.12. If you like SIRIUS XM radio, you'll like this: I added a sat radio module and performed the coding changes to tie it in to the factory console. I now have the subsciption deactivated but one phone call from you and it's back on.13. I also tried to code the addition of a bluetooth link but after many days of trying to decipher the German interface I gave up in frustration and added an aftermarket bluetooth dongle. This ties into the AUX port which means you can stream music from your phone (wirelessly) to the aux port if that's more your thing. The bluetooth link does not turn the car into a microphone for phone calls, however.14. Fold-down rear seats for times when you need to carry big/long stuff.15. I'm including a set of spare wheels with snow tires mounted. Turns it into a winter animal. If you drive a SUV with all wheel drive and all-season tires in the snow, you are ready for a treat. Be prepared to see what a smaller car with AWD and snow tires can do.16. LOW MILES! Really low for a 2008 model.17. N54 gremlins have been exorcised thanks to me and the previous owner. HP fuel pump replaced, 5 of 6 injectors replaced, electrical water pump replaced. The turbos are original but are still covered under BMW's special warranty that lasts until the car is 8 years old and up to 82k miles. (S1 B01 02 12) The HP fuel pump also has a special warranty, 12 years and 120k miles. Summary: if you do the research you'll see that these are the issues. They are taken care of on this car.18. Here's another geekish thing. You know, windshield wipers need to work really well. It's a simple thing that after a century of the world making cars you'd think they would always get right. These wipers are silent, they wipe the windshield completely, and with the help of the great rain-sensing mode they are perfect. It's great when such a mundane feature is actually a pleasure to use.18. In summary: it's a truly beautiful car that's fun to drive, has cool features, a responsive and torquey engine, exceptional steering, killer seats, and "everyday" usefulness. It does everything well. My not-so-favorite things:1. You might wonder why I'm selling after giving such a great review. Ok, I really like convertibles when the weather is any warmer than 55 degrees. Convertibles suck in a city (when in traffic) but I don't live in the city. Convertibles are like a safe motorcycle when you are driving on tree-lined country roads. As mentioned above, I live on a steep mountain and need to have a daily driver with all wheel drive. BMW doesn't make this car with that combination. They don't sell a convertible with all wheel drive. Hence, I just bought an Audi.2. The H&R springs I installed made the car's stance correct. Unfortunately, they also made the suspension a bit too bouncy. If I was going to keep the car I'd upgrade the shocks or switch to coil-overs.3. The Bavarian engineer who coded this model's diagnostic system must have been mentally handicapped. The E92 N54 sets "quiet codes" often. These do not illuminate the check engine light (usually) and do not cause problems at the emissions inspection station. However, for a car geek like me they cause me stress. I'm including a scan tool with the car (see picture) that I keep in the glove box at all times. You can plug in, check codes, and clear codes. Very occasionally the codes do trip the check engine light but 30 seconds later you can have the codes cleared. This is also a reprogramming device, if you are in to that kind of thing. Vishnu OFT. Whoops, that needs to be in the "favorite things" category.4. Wastegate rattle (noise) upon startup for about 30 seconds. That's the only time I notice it. (see #17 above regarding turbo warranty) Other notes:1. Great extras: - Hardwired Valentine V1 radar detector - Extra set of wheels (18") with Blizzak snow tires - Vishnu OFT programmer & diagnostic scanner2. A friend of mine operates a car transport company. If you'd like me to help you get a quote, I will. You can of course use your own company too or come pick up the car but if you want a personal touch let me suggest using my buddy.3. More nice touches: - Full books and records - Two key fobs - AFE Power flow intake - M3 trunk spoiler - Stainless exhaust tips - WinterTech trunk liner - AC Schnitzer foot pedals - Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, approx 50% tread left - 3M headlight protective film TITLE IN HAND, NO MONKEY BUSINESS, NO DELAYS UPON PURCHASE. You pay, you get. I have a perfect eBay feedback rating. Thanks for looking!-Brock F.

This sports car has been an exceptional vehicle for me and will actually be missed! Needing to sell to get suv for family. Never having been in any kind of accident, this is truly a fine buy as listing price is right at 39% off its original purchase price in sept of 2012, (2013 model). I am the only owner of this car having bought it in Asheville, NC. Smoke-free always. I will certainly work with you throughout the buying process and do prefer the monetary settlement to be done with a cashier's check, as things are always smoother this way. I believe that the pictures should confirm how clean this car is inside and out!
