The original Audi S4, built from 1991 until 1994, as a performance-oriented version of Audi's 100 saloon/sedan. All subsequent S4s since 1997 have been based on the Audi A4; and as the A4 has evolved from one generation to the next, so has the S4. Like its regular A4 counterpart, all S4 variants have had longitudinally oriented, front-mounted engines. A single turbocharged 2.2 liter inline five-cylinder powered the original C4 version, and a 2.7 liter twin turbocharged V6 engine was found in the B5 generation. The B6 and B7 versions shared a common 4.2 liter V8 engine, the first time that a V8 engine was placed in a compact executive car, placing it in direct competition with the BMW M3 which at the time had a 3.2 L inline 6. The recently introduced B8 generation uses a supercharged 3.0 liter V6 TFSI engine and competes with the BMW 335i. All versions of the S4 have their transmission mounted immediately at the rear of the engine in a longitudinal orientation, in the form of a transaxle, and like all Audi "S" cars, are only available as standard with Audi's Quattro four-wheel drive (4WD) system, using a Torsen-based centre differential system. All versions of the S4 have been manufactured at Audi's plant in Ingolstadt, Germany; they are, or have been available as a four-door five-seat saloon and a five-door five-seat Avant (Audi's name for an estate car/station wagon) body styles since the model's inception in 1991. A two-door four-seat Cabriolet (convertible) S4 variant was introduced as part of the B6 and B7 generation A4 lineups. The B8 Cabriolet has now been built off the A5 coupe body style and the "S" variant is marketed under the Audi S5 nameplate. 5th Gen the B8 At the heart of the B8 S4 powertrain is an all-new, all aluminum- 3.0 liter TFSI Supercharged (TFSI) V6 engine (parts code prefix: 06E, identification code: CAKA), and like the rest of the B8 model range, now with Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI). This petrol engine displaces 183 cu in, and it is rated by Audi to a power output of 329 bhp from 5,500 to 7,000 rpm. Torque is rated at 325 lbf*ft from 2,900 to 5,300 rpm. This high power output is achieved by utilizing forced induction - and specifically, an all-new Eaton 'Twin Vortices Series' (TVS) Roots-type positive displacement compressor. This engine is mated to either a six-speed manual transmission (identification code: KMR) or a seven-speed 'S tronic' DL501 dual clutch transmission identification code: LHK), the latter with steering wheel mounted paddle-shifters for Tiptronic gear selection, which replaces the Tiptronic automatic transmissions found in the B6/B7 iterations. The 'Audi Quattro Sports differential' fitted in the rear axle final drive unit is available as an option. Vehicle is in great condition and runs strong, very fun car, used it to take the kids to games and stuff like that, didnt want to do the mini van thing. Ive had the car sense January, sense then ive done a full tune up with all oem parts, oil change, spark plugs, air filter and polen filter, behicle is not in perfect condition though, it has some damage in the rear bumper, small dings and scratches here and there, interior is in great condition, there no tears in the recaros. I need to sell to fund another project and this is the nicest car i have, i havnt seen anyboil leaks nor coolant leaks, car starts right up every time, it doesn not have chain ratlle so no i havnt done the timing chain service sense it only has 70k miles it not nesesary yet. Title: HP / Agilent / Keysight 11850C DC-3.0GHz 1W 50ohm Three Way RF Power Splitter! Description: The time has come to park with my "WIKDWGN". We have an SQ5 now, and I simply don't drive the S4 much, and hate to see it sit. Car has just over 100k miles on it. Rare manual Avant with "sports package". Aluminum trim instead of wood grain. The car has quite a few mods including: H&R Coilovers, JHM Porsche big brake front kit, front / rear H-sport Hotchkis swaybars, JHM stage 3 clutch / LW flywheel, 4:1 center dif, JHM intake spacers, Fast Intentions stainless fullback exhaust, JHM flashed ECU (will be done before new owner picks it up, had to send ECU back to JHM to get updated to the new flash style of tuning and haven't taken it in to get the tune put back on yet). Also have a brand new short throw shifter that I haven't installed. I just did the valve cover gaskets, fuel pump / filter, battery, spark plugs and fresh oil change. Car runs great, but has a couple issues that you may want to address. There is an oil leak coming from the transfer case or transmission I believe. I thought it was the valve covers, but I did those and it still has a leak. Also, the exhaust has a leak somewhere in the downpipes it sounds like. I think it may be at the collector. I tried tightening the bolts, but it is very tight and without a lift, I couldn't get in very well to get a good turn on it. The car runs and drive without issue, but it is not 100% perfect. The engine has a slight chain rattle that is common with these cars at start-up. Its not too bad, but is there. I believe I have the tool kit with special tools required to to the timing chain service, and will include them with the car if I can find them. The cruise control does not work. It didn't work when I got it, and never figured it out. There are also a couple interior trim issues as pictured. The interior is in fair to good shape. Two-tone black leather / white alcantara. The driver side has a rip in the middle. I would recommend getting the seats re-covered. There are some scratches in the tint in the back from when I use to use this as my main stuff hauler before I got a truck. Body has typical small dings and chips here and there, with a more noticeable scrape on the read driver side door. Someone scraped it in the parking lot and didn't leave a note of course. I had the front end repainted in 2009 I believe, but has some chips on it now. After the car was lowered the auto-headlight adjustments haven't worked correctly. I think there is an easy fix for that, I just never got around to it. I have a bunch of parts that go with it, including all stock suspension pieces, brakes and wheels / tires, etc. I also have the stock exhaust system with downpipes you can have if your local. If you need more pictures please let me know and I will be happy to get them for you. I also have a custom fit car cover to include.
