UP FOR AUCTION TODAY IS MY 2005 AUDI S4 CONVERTIBLE WITH 45,000 ORIGINAL MILES. THIS CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 340HP 4.2L V8 AUDI MOTOR COUPLED TO A 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THIS CAR HAS SPENT MOST OF IT'S LIFE IN CALIFORNIA. I BOUGHT IT FROM CALIFORNIA ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND IT HAS BEEN MY SUNNY DAY DRIVER/PROJECT CAR SINCE THEN. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN IN SNOW AND HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR IT HAD A MINOR TICK - IT TURNED OUT ONE OF THE TIME CHAIN ADJUSTORS HAD BROKEN. SINCE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM I WENT AHEAD AND TORE IT DOWN AND DID A COMPLETE TIMING CHAIN SERVICE INCLUDING BRAND NEW TIMING CHAINS AND ADJUSTORS, REPLACED THE VALVE COVER GASKETS, REAR MAIN SEAL, NEW CLUTCH (THE OLD CLUTCH WAS FINE BUT SINCE LABOR WAS $0 - I FIGURED IT WAS CHEAP INSURANCE), NEW FRONT BRAKES, NEW FRONT TIRES, NEW AC COMPRESSOR, NEW TIE RODS. THE CAR STARTS RIGHT UP, RUNS BEAUTIFULLY AND GETS COMPLIMENTS ALL THE TIME. COSMETICALLY IT LOOKS GREAT, THERE ARE A FEW DINGS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE - THEY ARE LOCATED IN SPOTS THAT A PAINT LESS DENT REMOVAL GUY CAN TAKE OUT - THEY DIDN'T BUG ME THAT MUCH SO I DIDN'T HAVE IT DONE. CAR HAS ICE COLD AC, RADIO, LIGHTS, ETC ALL WORK - CAR IS TRULY A JOY TO DRIVE. I HAVE DRIVEN IT ~4000 MILES SINCE THE WORK WAS DONE. I HAVE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT BUT I AM READY TO HAND IT OFF TO THE NEXT OWNER. CAR NEEDS NOTHING TO BE A DAILY DRIVER (IT HAS BEEN MINE ON SUNNY DAYS) - IT HAS A FEW "ANNOYANCES" - THE KEYLESS REMOTE ISN'T WORKING. IT STOPPED WORKING RANDOMLY ONE DAY - I ASSUME IT'S A DEAD BATTERY. ALSO THE CENTER BRAKE LIGHT NEEDS REPLACED. CAR HAS A CLEAN OHIO TITLE IN MY DEALERSHIPS NAME WITH NO LIENS ON IT - READY TO GO.
