Hello. I have a 2002 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro for sale. This Audi is in overall very good condition, it runs and drives, but has a transmission leak that will need fixed before extensive driving is done. Therefore I'm selling it as a “Mechanic Special” in need of repair.If you are mechanically inclined and want a project car at a great price, this car could be a real winner for you. I purchased this vehicle a couple weeks ago and had every intention of fixing the car, however, I have accepted a new job and I simply don’t have the time for it. The seal to fix the leak is only $20 or so, but it is hard to get to. I’m selling the car for $3,000. Once fixed, this car is worth $5,000. Mechanical: Besides the transmission leak, I give the mechanical/drive train 9 out of 10 on condition: The engine runs very well and the automatic transmission shifts with no problems. In 2009, Atlantic Audi of West Islip NY performed a full engine replacement on the car under warranty due to a recall for an engine sludge issue. The engine, turbo, and all hoses and gaskets were replaced with new. This was done at 58k miles so the engine only has 76,000 miles on it. The engine runs perfectly, as an engine with 76k should. The car has never been in an accident and has never had any body repair, paint, or anything else done to it cosmetically. The car has a brand new battery in it, and brand new OEM Audi all weather rubber floor mats in the front and rear. Interior: I give the interior 8 out of 10 on condition: It is clean and smells good too. The air conditioning blows cold and the heater works just as well. Overall it has what I feel to be below average wear for a 2002 vehicle. Everything works (windows, locks, etc.) Exterior: I also give the exterior 8 out of 10 on condition: The outside has what I feel to be the average amount of wear for a 2002 vehicle. The paint is in great shape, but there are a couple dings. Most notable (you can see in pictures) are a scrape and ding on the left front bumper where someone scraped it in a parking lot, and a couple paint chips on the right rear bumper. Overall though it looks good. This is a used vehicle and I’m a private seller, therefore, the buyer understands the vehicle is a used vehicle and is sold in “as-is” condition with no warranty. The vehicle is located in Goodyear, AZ and has a clean and clear title. SHIPPING: I’m a private seller and don’t have any relationships with auto shippers. You can pick the car up or if you decide to ship I’m willing to be flexible and help (meet the shipper with the car). There is a website that you can use (www.uship.com) to setup shipping if you so choose. PAYMENT: A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end. Full payment due within 7 days. Payments excepted are PayPal, cash in person, bank wire transfer, or certified check* *Even with a certified check, I will need time to take the check to my bank and verify the funds are good.
