A 170-hp, 1.8-liter TFSI turbocharged engine comes standard, while an available 220-hp, 2.0-liter TSFI engine with quattro all-wheel drive puts the power down. Safety did not take a backseat either as the A3 sedan equipped with pre sense front received the highest 2014 safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, earning a Top Safety Pick+ rating.
