Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 2005 Aston Martin DB9 up for sale. I purchased this car last summer from a dealer in Fayetteville North Carolina. Unfortunately, I only had the car 4 days before a storm rolled in that put 8-10 inches of fresh water in the streets of Norfolk. I was able to make it home that day and park the car without water getting inside the car or anything happening, but when I started it up a few days later, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Seemed like all of the warning likes that could come on, did. I already had a service appointment scheduled for that day so I went ahead and took it in for the service. They changed the oil and filter, with no water showing, but also no improvement to the cars condition. So the next day I called the insurance company and told them what had happened with the flooded streets in Norfolk. They told me that they had been getting a lot of calls from Norfolk after that storm, so it was no surprise that I was calling. They went ahead and scheduled a flat bed truck to come and pick it up. The next day I got a call from the adjuster explaining that they didn’t really understand what they were picking up and that because of the car’s value, they would be bringing it back and asked me what mechanic I would like to have it taken to for evaluation. I had to call around for a week to find a local shop that was willing to take it. They towed the car to the Abicus Racing in Virginia beach. After a few weeks, Abicus came up with the conclusion that the car needed to be totaled for water damage. The insurance company took over a month to come to the same conclusion. They called around to different mechanics, as well as talking with the Aston Martin Dealership in DC. So the car was ultimately totaled, stating that the engine computers needed to be replaced, as well as the engine and possibly the wiring harnesses. The estimate for the repairs was over $40k. My dad was a Rolls Royce Mechanic in Memphis years ago and I thought I could at least tinker with the car, so after a little thought, I decided to buy the car back from the insurance company. The car then sat at my office for couple months and then at my house for a couple more. We put it under an all-weather cover and moved it a little every week or so, so the tires wouldn’t become flat. I had a friend that works for a local shop in Norfolk that was going to come over to the house and remove the ECU’s, so I could send them off to have them checked out, but he was always too busy, so that never happened. I finally decided that I would go ahead and have the car taken to the dealership in DC so they could give me a real estimate of the damages. After delivery, it took the dealership 3 weeks to come back to me with a starting estimate of $30k for just the engine electronics and a starter. They said they could not tell if the motor would need to be fixed or replaced, without fixing the electronics first. They also said they were losing the only mechanic they had that could do the work so they couldn’t do it anyway. I called my dad in Arkansas at this point and told him what the dealership said. He told me to have the car shipped to him so he could look at it. I didn’t really have anything to lose at this point, so I had a company truck the car down to my dad’s place. My dad is retired so has plenty of time to tinker with things and he loves cars like these. By the time the car made it to Arkansas, it hadn’t run in 7 months. But my dad was able to get the car started 1 hour after he started messing with it. He didn’t know what was wrong with it yet, but said it ran like crap at low RPM’s and good at high RPM’s. It took him another couple of weeks to get back to the car, but after a day of messing around with it more, he called me with a list of parts that he needed to get it fixed. The problem was not with the engine itself or the engine computers, but with the mass airflow sensors. So I ordered the following parts from Aston Martin In St. Louis: Mass Air Flow Sensors Spark PlugsEngine Oil and FilterNew Grill (Old one had been repaired poorly, prior to me purchasing it)I also had the transmission flushed and new oil and filter put on. The transmission on the car was built for a lifetime, but Aston Martin later said that it should be changed every 60k miles. The car ran perfectly after it was put back together. So I flew to Arkansas and drove the car back to Virginia without any issues. The car passed the Virginia State inspection and I was able to get it tagged. I have been driving it a few days a week ever since. It runs and drives perfectly! It is always kept in the garage with the Aston Martin dust cover on it. I recently had new Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 tires mounted new custom drilled Savini BM9 20 inch wheels. The have less than 1000 miles on them. I have the original factory 19 inch 4 wheels and tires that will be included in the sale as well. I also purchased some clear tail lights that were from a 2011 DB9. I still have the original red ones as well if they are wanted by the buyer. There are some interior and exterior blemishes from normal wear and tear. I have included pictures of everything I am aware. I also have the following documents that I can email to serious buyers if they want:Complete inspection of the car when I purchased itCarfax from when I purchased the carInsurance repair Estimate I also have more pictures The car comes with the original 2 remote key FOBS, as well as a shop manual and the original owners manual. I believe the sub woofer that separates the back seats needs to be replaced, as it rattles a little if you turn up the sub on the stereo. The rest of the speakers work great. In the end, this car was given a water damage title, because mechanics don’t have a clue how to be real mechanics anymore. The Aston Martin DB9 has always been my dream car, but I need to sell it now so I can pay for some home renovations. I strongly recommend interested parties have the car inspected or come inspect and test drive any car that is sold online. I don't have time for games and don't want anyone to think I am trying to hide anything. I am an open book, so please do not hesitate to call me at 757-262-7159 if you have any questions.

DO NOT EMAIL ME. If you are serious about inquiring about the car, call or text me at 757-749-9675. Up for sale is my 2009 Aston Martin Vantage This is the 4.7L V8 model, not the earlier 4.3 Automatic Gray exterior on ADV.1 5.0 Track Spec wheels. They are 20x10 in front and 20x12.5 in back. Tires are PZero's with plenty of life left. No accidents, no paint work The car has clear bra installed and has been ceramic treated within past 6 months. It is lowered on coilovers and also has performance exhaust (I do not have stock parts). Interior is "peanut butter" brown and black leather, suede roof and black piano trim. It is fully optioned with navigation, back-up camera, XM, heated seats, Aston Martin umbrella, etc. Never tracked, never launched. I had the car serviced last year by Aston Martin dealer in DC with records to show. This was less than 2k miles ago as I don't drive it much. Only 17k miles on clock. Currently the car needs nothing, fully mechanically sound. Comes with glass key and valet key. Original owner's manual included, I don't have the original window sticker. Please realize this is a privately owned car. I cannot finance it for you, nor will I take a trade-in. Please have your finances in order before contacting me.

Enhance your looks without plastic surgery. You WILL look good driving this car. A rare, timeless classic design, the DB7 i-6 is said to have the purest lines of all the DB7 models. This car has been garaged for the past 10 years. Every repair and service document since 2004 comes with the car. Only 269 1997 DB7 i6 Volantes were brought into the US, and only an estimated 879 i6 Volantes were produced worldwide. Enhancements and features: Classic Gray leather interior with black pipingAlacantra headlinerBurl woodGT interior door pullsHalf wood wheel and shift knobDealer installed starter buttonFlush mounted Quicksilver exhaust to provide a little more aural authorityFactory option 18” Speedline alloy wheels, rare and highly desirableAston Martin valve capsSix cylinder supercharged developing 335 HP base, a tad more with the BBR upgrade and Quicksilver exhaustStainless mesh upper and lower front grilleGT strakeTonneau cover (useless, except for show)Extra headlight pod and Speedline wheelBBR stage 2 supercharger upgrade and ECU remap, one of a handful of cars in the U.S. with this upgrade. The upgrade changes the shift points to make them smoother and adds a few horsepower, essentially changing the car to more satisfactory level and making it the way it should have come out of the factoryImpeccably well maintained This is a beautiful car with excellent mechanicals. All hoses have recently been replaced, rad core replaced. As with most low production Aston Martin cars, this one comes with its own unique set of quirks. The check engine light comes on when there’s nothing wrong. Transmission memory doesn’t take at startup and car needs to be turned off and restarted (rare). The window motors and control modules need replacing. This is not a concours car, it’s a car that has been driven and cared for.
