He attempted more than 75 ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps and a failed jump across Snake River Canyon in a steam powered rocket. He suffered more than 433 bone fractures, earning an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as the survivor of %26#8220;Most Bones Broken in a Lifetime.%26#8221;MotoeXotica Classic Cars is extremely pleased and honored to have Evel%26#8243; personal Aston Martin Lagonda with custom built trailer in our show room and for sale! This is without a doubt a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own the personal vehicle of an American icon. Synonymous with his flamboyant image, he had this luxury sedan heavily customized! This car has even been commemorated in model form by Johnny Lightning as part of its Evel Knievel collection. This car was well known to be Evel%26#8243; favorite car and daily driver for over 18 years with many stories that go with it. The car has been featured in numerous publications, including Aston Martin%26#8243; Vantage Point! It has been said that Evel loved this car more than life itself and it is readily apparent with how much time and work has gone into the car you see today. It should be noted that only 645 Aston Martin Lagondas were produced during its 12 year production run.Evel ran around the United States with his second wife, Krystal, whom he met in Clearwater, Florida. Evel purchased the Lagonda used sometime in late 1987. The car was originally black with black interior. The Lagonda was a VERY expensive, VERY exclusive exotic car when it was brand new. The Lagonda traveled everywhere with Evel and his wife, it was even drug behind their motorhome as they toured the country! He started modifying the car before the Aston Martin transformed into the car you see today; he started with a Chrysler big block 440ci V8.Evel later met Al Kurdzialek of Desert Dog Auto in Fountain Hills, Arizona, who eventually would do the full restoration and heavy customization of the Lagonda in 1999. Al was an Aston Martin technician and he would always service the Lagonda. Al and Evel became quick friends. Evel would even call up Al anytime the Lagonda had any issues and he would fly him out to fix it, no matter where they were!In 1999, Al got the Aston Martin and he started to do a full restoration and heavy customization on the car. They were basically designing the car as it %26#8220;should have been%26#8221; designed in 1984! They did such things as louvered the hood, completely new custom interior, new wiring harness, custom dashboard/console, added air conditioning and custom side pipe exhaust. Evel absolutely hated the headlights because %26#8220;they never worked%26#8221; so Al custom worked the headlights into the hood and they are as you see them today! As mentioned before, Evel had a Chrysler big block 440ci V8 installed in the Lagonda at one point in time. When Al did the restoration, they removed the 440 and installed a much larger, much more powerful Chevrolet big block 502 V8, capable of upwards of 502 horsepower! When we called Al to talk to him, he laughed when we asked about the transmissions. He said that car would not stop eating transmissions and he went through %26#8220;three or four%26#8221; 700R automatics before a custom built 700R with stronger internals was installed and could withstand the power. Al still has the original Chrysler big block 440 at his shop in Fountain Hills, Arizona. As you may see, the Lagonda does come with a custom built trailer. This wasn%26#8244; just any old, regular hauling trailer. After Evel lost his major endorsements, he hit the road to sell his personal artwork and make event appearances with this trailer in tow (One of his signed art pieces is included with this sale.) This trailer served more than one purpose and it involved an array of younger ladies and himself%26#8230;This car comes with a Bill of Sale on Evel Knievel letterhead stating, %26#8220;Evel Knievel sells to his #1 son, Kelly Knievel, (1) 1984 Aston Martin Lagonda for the price of a Ruth Chris dinner %26#8226; about $200.00. Mileage is the car runs. Title is signed off and good as gold.%26#8221; %26#8226; Pretty neat tidbit of family sales and hand signed by Evel himself! The bill of sale shows Evel selling the car to Kelly on November 5th, 2006 %26#8230; he later died on November 30th, 2007. The title for the trailer was erroneously signed by Evel over again. So, the trailer will be sold on a bill of sale only for the trailer. As mentioned, we have a good title for the Legonda. As mentioned, this handsome sedan has been restored and heavily customized by Gallatin Aston to match Evel%26#8243; larger than life personality! The body is in excellent condition and includes custom touches such as sheet metal fenders and polished stainless steel vented hood. The engine bay is highly detailed to match the polished stainless and it looks phenomenal! The paint is finished in %26#8220;Dark Blood Maroon%26#8221; and looks absolutely fantastic. There are some minor imperfections such as small rock chips and scratches%26#8230; I mean this was the biggest daredevil of our time%26#8243; personal daily driver and he drove it cross country for over 18 years!Inside the car, the interior is custom and extremely comfortable! The interior is finished in Rolls Royce cream leather and contrasts the paint beautifully! There is also Wilton Wool carpeting which adds just a touch more class to this already classy custom. The dashboard and center console have been hand built and are very neat! The dashboard features a set of custom gauges and wood accents. It should be noted that the odometer and speedometer are currently inoperable. This is a very, very unique and one of a kind Aston Martin!Under the hood, as mentioned, the engine bay is finished in polished stainless steel and looks stunning and nearly mirrors everything under the hood. The Lagonda is powered by a custom and extremely powerful 502 cubic inch big block Chevrolet V8. Don%26#8244; let that large displacement scare you %26#8226; this car was driven cross country by Evel himself many times. On a personal note, I have driven the car myself many times and the car is an EXCELLENT driver. The car breathes through a set of Laker chrome side pipes and the exhaust note is beautiful. Mated to the powerhouse is a robust 700R automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and as it should! It does come equipped with power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. It should be noted that the air conditioning is currently inoperable. It does blow but the air is not cold.In addition to the custom Lagonda is a custom built coffin trailer. Evel would often sleep in this trailer while traveling the country. The trailer is simple with a closing lid and a mattress inside. It did a good job at serving its purpose for Evel! The trailer comes with the Lagonda but is only on a bill of sale. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of American pop culture history! Evel had a one-of-a-kind lifestyle and quite the reputation. This vehicle does come with a ton of memorabilia, including:%26nbsp;The Legends Corporation Evel Knievel Artist Paperwork and portfolioEvel Knievel Art Piece %26#8220;High Country%26#8221; #826 of 1,000 and signed in 1983Evel Knievel 12%26#8221; Album on Amherst LabelEvel Knievel 7%26#8221; Album on Ribet RecordsEvel Knievel Memorial Remembrance Card 2007Evel Knievel %26#8220;A Daring Approach to Life%26#8221;Greatest Hits DVDEvel Knievel Days 2006 Wrist BandsEvel Knievel News ArticlePlaying Mantis Lagonda Matchbox CarEvel Knievel PosterBag of personal items from the trailer such as cologne, gloves and umbrella.Photographs of Evel with Lagonda and trailerWire wheels on the trailer in the photographs are also includedEvel%26#8243; personal business cardLagonda bill of sale to Evel%26#8243; son Kelly for a price of a steak dinnerOriginal titleClean and clear current Missouri title Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
