Per Centro Documentazione: Chassis number AR 1493.22219 & matching engine number AR 1315.013171 was manufactured on the 11th February 1960 and sold on the 24th February 1960 in Milan, Italy. It was shipped to the US in 1982 and has been immaculately maintained during its existence. The 55 year old paint was a bit tired and the decision was made to strip and re-paint to match original Alfa Rosso. See additional pictures as they attest that ( www.bandlvintage.com ), this is an extremely rare example with absolutely zero rust anywhere. Close look at the existing rockers and pinch welds depict amazing originality and a true testament of an extremely well preserved original body that has never seen a weld torch. The bright work has been completely removed and while it may have been an 8 out of 10, it is now a 10 out of 10. The interior seats and carpets also restored to original finishes. This is considered a transitional car, thus the original headliner is a diamond shape pattern in lieu of the later 101 pattern. The remainder of the vehicle: undercarriage, engine, dash has never been apart or dismantled like many cars of this era. The ride is absolutely a pleasure and can be steered using one finger. Underneath the chassis, everything is very original and extremely solid. Brakes, suspension pieces updated, new exhaust system installed. This is an excellent example of a 1989 Alfa Spider, It has a very nice bare metal re-spray in the original Alfa Rosso 130 "PPG" red. The Alfa has less than 100 miles since restoration and is showing no signs of being driven. The clutch and pressure plate were exchanged along with the drive couplings and A/C compressor, brakes were new when I received the Alfa. It has been tuned up, all new silicone vacumm hoses have been installed and everything works from the engines VVT unit to the interior dome light timer. The Alfa has the original Grey leather seats with Black and Gray trim panels with a Red carpet, a black soft top and a body colored hard top. This car has 37,487 original miles and is a VERY nice driver, the Alfa runs and drives nicely. This Alfa will be sold as is and has no warranty.

I bought this car last year with the intent of doing a small but good restoration. The body, engine and trans r in good shape. I am more of an interior person than a mechanic so this car fit my needs. It is in really good mechanical condition and has no rust. Shifts as it should with no sync issue.I was doing very well working on it after work and weekends until I injured my knee. Dr says i need a knee replacement. Not gonna do that untill i have to. So the project came to a halt.I have OVER 4500.00 invested and as they say my loss is your gain. Needs the interior... new carpet and new leather on the seats... foam and seat r n good condition. Door panels also need replacing. The convertable top is in poor condition but could be repaired or used as a pattern to make a new one.I hate to sell it but I just cant get around like I used to. This will really make someone a cool little car. Not much else left to do. Not a basket case for sure!!!! Good Luck!!!!

QUADRIFOGLIO HISTORY: At the turn of the 20th century, motor racing was an incredibly dangerous sport that often claimed the lives of its most talented drivers. This story has an element of tragedy, but first, we must begin with Il Commendatore himself, Enzo Ferrari. It's hard to imagine a world without Ferrari, but early in his career, the great man was struggling, out of work, and broke. The situation was so desperate that Ferrari contemplated suicide. Sometime in 1919, however, at his local watering hole Vittorio Emanuele, Ferrari began talking to Ugo Sivocci, who at the time was working with the small automaker CMN. The two made fast friends, and over subsequent months the poor Ferrari often dined at Sivocci home. As soon as Sivocci had an opening for his new friend, he offered it, a move that would forever alter the course of automotive history: it was Sivocci who first put Ferrari behind the wheel of a racing car. Together, they devised novel ways of testing their machines. For the 10th Targa Florio, they drove their cars to the start line using public roads, and at one point at night while driving through the sparsely populated Italian countryside the pair were attacked by a pack of wolves! When Ferrari was hired by Alfa Romeo, he extended the same favor to his friend Sivocci, who soon followed him to the more prestigious marque. Overall condition 7/10, 5 speed, hard top, one owner, Never driven during winter.Garage kept during winter. Keep in mind this car is 25 years old. Took it for inspection last week-brake master cylinder leaks ( old cracked seals )-clutch master and slave cylinder needs new seals as well- oil pan gasket leaks in few places ) gasket needs to be replaced )- could use new motor mounts- pinion seal on differential leaks too. Car starts right up. Drove it for few miles everyday. I would say this car is 7/10. Local pickup only, NO RETURNS, Cash in hand.
