Red over light charcoal leather black canvas top . Owned and driven by an adult since new. Only 2 actual owners our client bought this Alfa like 25 yrs ago from the owner of a company he worked for many years. We do not think its ever been hit and there is no rust in the body or undercarriage and no repairs of rust or accidents we can see. Straight nice body interior all good not perfect but nice. Look well at the pictures we have shown all faded spots for you. There are some nicks scratches in the paint and some faded spots also around the doors hood etc However polished up from 20 feet away she looks like a show car, but this was a driver on Saturdays for 25 yrs never intended to be a garage queen or show car. It needs a back window in the top its very foggy but top is very nice. Runs well drives well and with the exception of a few minor issues like sticky door hinges, a rattle or 2, truck release handle is very loose as normal with these cars they do have inherent issues but nothing big with this car mostly just irritating small stuff. The Odometer does not work and has not worked for approx 5 years. It needs a speedo generator and they are hard to find. The previous owner says the 104.000 is very close to the real miles because the car has been stored at his daughters house for 5 years or so. Title from 1997 shows 91,807 miles marked ACTUAL. The gentleman traded in his toys cars, jeep motorcycle boat because he was having hip surgery so the Alfa had to go also. We have driven the car approx 20--30 miles from his daughters house to our office along with his other toys. It ran well strong actually, smooth shifting tight running 60-70mph, a small rattle or 2 we think exhaust related, but overall you will love this little Alfa for the money you spend. We have a low very realistic reserve on the car to give you room for some of the repairs you will want to do. We feel drive it anywhere you like just as it is but it will need back window and miscellaneous repairs down the road to be a real nice car again. The previous owner has given us books spare parts etc and also told us its fine to give out his name and phone to the new owner just so you can have all history on the car. I think he would enjoy knowing where it goes and who is the new owner. Do not let the price scare you we are just being realistic on the car. *1973 ALFA ROMEO MONTREAL* The Alfa Romeo Montreal was introduced as a concept car in 1967 at Expo 67, held in Montreal, Canada. Originally, the concept cars were displayed without any model name, but the public took to calling it “The Montreal”. The first production car, was shown at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show and was quite different from the original, using a 2593cc 90* dry-sump lubricated V8 engine with SPICA fuel injection that produced 200bhp @ 6500 rpm, coupled to a five-speed ZF manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. This engine was derived from the 2-litre V8 used in the 33 Stradale and in the Tipo 33 sports prototype racer. Its redline was set at 7000 rpm, unheard of for a V8 at that time. The chassis and running gear of the production Montreal were taken from the Giulia GTV coupe and comprised double wishbone suspension with coil springs and dampers at the front and a live axle with limited slip differential at the rear. Stylistically, the most eye catching feature is the car’s front end with four headlamps partly covered by unusual “grilles”, that retract when the lights are on. Expensive at introduction at $4000, almost the same as a Jaguar E-Type, it afforded entry into the world of Italian design and performance, i.e. “the Poor Man’s Ferrari”. It remained in production for almost 30 years, and until recently was Alfa’s last rear-wheel-drive car. The Spider was offered in three trim levels; the $20,500 Quadrifoglio Verde (“Four-Leaf Clover”, Alfa’s long-time good luck charm), the $17,000 Veloce, and the $14,000 entry-level Graduate. All were mechanically identical, with a five-speed and DOHC 2 liter under the hood; the differences were in the trim levels and materials. This Alfa is a true driver's car. I am very sad to see it go, but I no longer have room for it. It has always been garage-kept. The gearbox is wonderful; no second gear grind. The free-flow Ansa exhaust system has added a nice amount of performance and sounds incredible. This is the Alfa I have held onto the longest since it has bucketloads more character than any others I have owned or driven. I have put around $10,000 into the car regarding the mechanics. Most of the work was done at Col-Gen Motors in New Jersey. I urge you to call them regarding the condition of this car. Here are some of the major things that have been done: Clutch realignmentEngine mounts replacedRadiator fan replacedNew racing manifoldFree-flow Ansa exhaust systemAir filter replacedIgnition replacedProtective engine cage replacedSteering was recalibratedNew electric window motorsRe-wired most electric components I have also installed a battery switch for when the car isn't being driven for a while. The seats are not torn at all, but have lost a bit of that plastic tube trim. The top has a few very tiny tears that have been filled with a silicone substance so it doesn't leak whatsoever. Things that could be addressed: - Passenger window motor needs a crank to get it started again. It has a brand new motor, but hasn't been used in months. - When using the low-beam headlights, the left one doesn't work, but it is best to use high beams only regardless unless you upgrade to brighter headlights altogether. - There are some small imperfections in the paint that are only noticeable up close. - The passenger side of the windshield has a faint mark from wiper. - Driver side speaker doesn't work. The free-flow Ansa exhaust system has added a nice amount of performance and sounds incredible. It has a brand new motor, but hasn't been used in months. - When using the low-beam headlights, the left one doesn't work, but it is best to use high beams only regardless unless you upgrade to brighter headlights altogether. - There are some small imperfections in the paint that are only noticeable up close. - The passenger side of the windshield has a faint mark from wiper. - Driver side speaker doesn't work. 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate. This is a fun to drive Italian classic with a 2.0L inline four DOHC with variable valve timing and Bosch fuel injection coupled to a five speed manual transmission. The car has just over 97,000 miles and growing as I drive it daily. This has been a very reliable little car for me. The car has power brakes and factory equipped ac that needs to be converted to modern R-134a coolant. This car did not come with power steering but isn't tough to steer although there is a small amount of play in the steering. The paint appears to be original and in fairly good shape with a few small nicks here and there and a small dent in front of the left rear wheel. The rocker panels, trunk floor, and under carriage are very clean and rust free. There are 2 small rust bubbles about the size of a 50 cent piece on the passenger side lower quarter panels. The passenger seat has a few small tears, the dash has a few cracks from the sun and the windhield is scuffed from a bad wiper blade. There is a small leak in a brake line as the reservoir leaks down very slowly over the course of a month. The car was fitted with a new exhaust system less than 1000 miles ago. The car starts, runs, drives and stops as it should and handles incredibly well. This car lives in the garage and doesn't see rain very much but the top is fairly new and leak free. This is a very original daily driver or full restoration candidate right down to the original tool kit and jack. I have tons of pics and will send more upon request. Every manufacturer has built a two-seat roadster, it seems, but few can do it better than the Italians. It starts with great body lines, and the Spider Veloce, which endured for decades virtually unchanged, shows off a lot of flair in a compact package. The paint is not original but in decent condition for it's age with only a few BLEMISHES of use and wear, which is fitting on a car that's designed to be the ultimate dance partner. Panel fit is quite good given the era and the hand-built nature of the car, and the shape works just fine without the body add-ons that would come a few years later. Simple, elegant, and extremely sporty, it shows off the little things that the Italians do so well. Note the neat little flush-fitting door handles, the exhaust pipe that's almost (but not quite!) centered under the rear bumper, and, of course, that Alfa grille standing proud up front, neatly integrated into the bumper assembly. The special Italian touch extends to the interior, where even this bargain-priced roadster gets two-tone buckets that wear newer seat covers. A wood-rimmed wheel adds to the interior's ambience. Beautiful Jaeger instruments in a pair of hoods jutting out of the dash show off the simplicity that has long been a hallmark of Italian automotive design, with the secondary instruments slightly canted towards the driver. The ventilation system is typical Italian, with controls that are hard to decipher, but that's really all part of the charm in a car like this, although the A/C seems to need a recharge. There's also a newer AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit that was installed many years ago and probably due for an upgrade today. The trunk is actually well-shaped and spacious enough to hold luggage for two, and a black canvas convertible top fits neatly. The rorty 2-liter engine sings to life with gusto and loves to rev, and with a glorious sound from the new muffler out back, you'll be looking for reasons to drop a gear or two and pin the throttle. Aluminum cam covers are a traditional Alfa look, and the fuel injection system has that instant throttle response that makes these cars such a joy to drive. And contrary to what you may have heard, these tough little Italian sports cars are actually reliable and sturdy, perfect for having fun without the worries. The 5-speed manual gearbox snicks through the gears thanks to a new clutch and the suspension has a great combination of control and supple body movements, so the car is all-day comfortable. Four-wheel discs live behind stylish 5-spoke alloys carrying 195/65/14 blackwall radials. Fun and stylish, this bargain-priced exotic is a great entry-level Italian. Sure, it needs a little TLC from it's new owner to make it the ultimate driving machine, but for this price, you get a genuine Alfa Romeo that gives you a real taste of pure sports car magic.
