Up for sale is my 2008 Deep Blue Pearl VW R32. This is VW's top of the line hatchback with a 250hp 3.2L V6, a Haldex AWD system and a Twin Clutch 6-Speed Gearbox ( Direct-Shift Gearbox - DSG ). Inside it has a Anthracite leather in great condition, an aftermarket touch screen radio, sunroof and various amenities such as heated seats, auto-sensing wipers, heated mirrors and dual-zone climate control. This model R32 was only made in 2008 and VW only brought 5000 to the US. This car in particular, however, was a USDM model imported directly from Germany ( on May of 2012 ) and is not one of the original 5000 VW imported and thus will not have a production number on the steering wheel.Upgrades I have made include:Borla Exhaust ( Purchased January 2014, $800 )034 Motorsport Street Density Engine mounts + Dogbone insert ( Purchased August 2015, oem comfort with added strength, $300 ) 19"x8.5" Omanyts wheels ( Purchased on July 2015, $1000 )Cooper Zeon RS3-S 235/35/19 tires ( Purchased on July 2015, $600 )Passat aluminum lower control arms and aluminum steering knuckles ( Purchased on August 2015, great for quicker steering and comfort, $300 )4 Bilstein Touring Shocks ( Purchased on December 2014, $300 )Tein Lower Springs ( 1" Drop, OEM comfort, Purchased on December 2014, $250 )Cross Drilled + Slotted Rotors with PowerStop Ceramic Brake Pads ( Purchased on December 2014, $300 )Carbon Fiber front lip ( Purchased on July 2015, $175 )Black Grill ( Purchased on June 2014, $250 )And various other some mods that I can't even think of right now.Maintenance is as follows:Iridium Spark Plugs ( Done at 85K miles, 100K mile Interval )Air Filter ( Done at 90K Miles, 20K mile Interval )DSG and Haldex Fluid ( Done at 85K miles, 40K mile Interval )Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil + Filter ( Done at 99,500 miles, just this week ).Car looks and drives fantastic. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 For sale is a 1965 Original Paint "Sportsmobile" Camper. If you are looking for a daily driver quality split window bus that needs little body work as base for a shiny new paint job this bus is not for you. If, however, you are looking for a genuine original paint bus that you can have a blast in from the day you purchase it, read on. More pictures here. https://www.flickr.com/gp/133931438@N04/njt9S3 The transmission was geared to low when I bought this bus so I had the transmission and RGB's overhauled to stock big nut specifications by Kelly at The Bug Stop here in North Texas. The camping interior major monuments are all made by Sportsmobile, a mid 1960's camper manufacturer for VW. The icebox is custom fit for use in a split window bench seat model. It has a very nice period correct built in two burner propane stove on top of the ice box that works great. Between the ice box and jump seat is a small storage cabinet that I use to hold the propane bottles. The jump seat back hinges aft for more storage behind it and the seat itself hinges to the side for even more storage underneath and has a camper manufacturer installed potty. While I have not used it, it could serve as a "honey bucket" for the wife or kids on a road trip. The rest of the wood paneling was fabricated and installed by me. Curtain material is doubled, heavy duty looking and does a great job blocking light as well as simulating an outer space environment. Tires are Hankook RA08s with 90% tread life left. This camper comes with a really nice, cool canvas self standing awning/tent. Green and white striped, it really looks great next to this Velvetgreen bus. The top piece is fringed and it has four side pieces that zipper together for enclosure. The poles are all original and can be secured to the side of the bus. The short securing pieces that attach the unit to the bus are adjustable to fit any position lengthwise. Inside the tented area is large and roomy. I have used this setup when camping with a double cab and it works great for that application as well, so if you have a couple of different buses this tent/awning is a really nice addition and I've never seen another quite like it. The wonderful thing about this unit is when you pull into your campsite you set up the tent part and secure your stuff inside then you can drive off, do your thing, then come back and your campsite hasn't been taken. The canvas is generally very clean with some few very small wear holes on two of the four side panels but it comes with an original, large repair piece section if you are overly concerned and need to mend it. The rear shelf/bed cushion is new and I have the matching vinyl to cover it. Other than covering the cushion with the supplied material, this camper needs nothing for immediate enjoyment. Even this minor detail can be postponed as desired. Overall this bus is very, very solid. It does have some small rust through areas in the rockers but that's about it. It also has its share of PO hacks but nothing significant. I will include pictures of everything. Of note are a strip about 1 inch by 5 inch cut from either side of the engine bay. I have welded steel to the underside to fill the gaps. The radio area in the dash has been enlarged. I have an original Velvetgreen repair section that is included with the sale. There are about 2 or 3, 2 inch diameter holes drilled. One in the cargo area underneath the icebox and one on the rear shelf which is now covered by the camping interior. Other highlights; One key for all door locks AND ignition. All electrical systems work as advertised. Wiper motor still 6V. Dome light in the camper area is a Sundial style and has a new (NOS?) cover. I put a LED light bulb in it to reduce the heat level when left on indefinitely to stop the plastic from heat bubbling and to prevent draining the battery. All new cab panels made by Clara. Fat Mat installed throughout. New high quality linoleum type flooring in the camper area that is durable and looks very close to the style used in the 60's. The bumpers are in excellent condition and have been rattle can painted. The engine is a 1600 DP, mileage unknown that runs great with a new carburetor and NOS generator that I bought at OCTO in 2001. Recent complete brake job, replacing shoes, wheel cylinders, soft brake lines, master cylinder and drums turned. Bus stops firmly and straight. All crank out jalousie windows work and have screens. I will let the pictures tell the rest. Clear Texas title in my name. Chrome hubcaps instead of painted. Bus does not come with roof rack, headlight mesh guards and assist steps. As stated this is an original paint bus so nothing is hidden. It drives great and I will probably regret selling it one day but with the new addition to the family I have to let it go. See the links above for many more pictures and if you have any questions or want pictures of any areas do not hesitate to email me and if you include a cell number I can text or post them to the listing.
